Jamal Hill was ten years old when all of a sudden he lost the use of his lower arms and lower legs. It turned out that he had a genetic disease called CMT that affected his extremities. For years he was embarrassed about having the disease and told no one. At the age of 23, the long-time swimmer decided to go for the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo swimming the 50 and 100 free and the 100 backstroke.
