Fiona Ford won her age group at the 2006 ITU World Championship and in 2007 she raced for the first time in Kona. After having success as an age group athlete, she turned pro. But in June of 2012, she suffered severe injuries after a car cut her off during a training ride in London and ended up with a broken sacrum, broken pelvis and a broken right collarbone. Her rehab took three years and on October 8th she went back to Kona for the first time since the crash, went 10:46:53 and took third in her age group. Fiona also authored a great new book entitled Back on Track.
