Ed Baker was the captain of the cross country team at Harvard and after college ran a 1:05:17 half marathon and a 2:21 marathon. After business school at Stanford, Ed started a company that he sold to Facebook, moved from Facebook to a new company called UBER, and started a family. He recently found the sport of triathlon and, under the guidance of Coach Matt Dixon of Purple Patch Fitness, he was the overall champion at Ironman Lake Placid and went 8:27 at Ironman Copenhagen and was the age-group champion. October will be big for Ed. He is about to become a dad for the fourth time and, on October 13th, he’ll be racing his first Ironman World Championship!
