Paula Newby-Fraser is known as the Queen of Kona, and rightfully so. From 1985-1996 she won the Ironman World Championship eight times, took second once, third twice, and fourth once. We call that domination! Paula came on to chat about her first triathlon and Ironman experience, her long time rivalry with New Zealand’s Erin Baker, and how she came back to win in 1996 after her collapse the year before.
