Billy Lister had a stroke when he was 17 years old in July of 1999. In 2011 he attended a Challenged Athletes Foundation Paratriathlon camp and got back on a bike for the first time since his stroke. That led to Billy becoming a part of the U.S. Paralympic Team and racing three events in Rio at the Paralympics. “I’ve traveled the world and met fascinating people,” he insists. “I view my stroke and disability as a gift.”
