New Zealand’s Cam Brown has had two second place finishes, two thirds, and a fifth at the Ironman Triathlon World Championship. But for a guy who has been racing since he was 14, the fact that he is still winning races at the age of 42 and now 43 is unbelievable. How about this? In 17 consecutive starts at Ironman New Zealand going back to 1999, Cam has won the race 11 times, finished second four times, and third twice. That’s right. In 17 starts he has never been off the podium and during that stretch he won the race five times in a row…TWICE. And his latest win was this past March, his eleventh title, when he was 42. Cam joined me for a Q&A with the Tri Club of San Diego, presented by 2XU.
