Craig Cunningham was a professional hockey player with both the Boston Bruins and the Phoenix Coyotes. On November 19, 2016, while with the Coyotes’ minor league affiliate the Tucson Roadrunners, Cunningham collapsed on the ice and paramedics immediately started chest compressions. His heart stopped for 83 minutes and it took a very unique surgery to save his life. Because of complications, he ended up having his leg amputated below the knee, but the fact that he lived is a true miracle.
