From our Breakfast with Bob: Stay Home Edition show, enjoy this interview with Gwen Jorgensen.
Gwen Jorgensen didn’t connect with the sport of triathlon until 2010. By 2012 she raced in her first Olympic Games in London and then she became the most dominant triathlete on the planet, winning 13 WTS races in a row before winning the Gold in Rio in 2016. She moved from triathlon to running after becoming a mom and now is hoping to make the 2021 US Olympic team at either the 5,000 or 10,000 meters. Gwen and I also talked about our drive to increase diversity in the sport of triathlon and how we both love Bernard Lyles’ Tri-Masters Program, which has helped Black kids in Chicago learn to swim and participate in triathlons.
