In this segment, Huddle interviews me about getting into endurance sports back when the earth was still cooling in 1978, my first Ironman in 1980, plus the history behind Competitor Magazine, Competitor Radio, the Competitor Awards, and Muddy Buddy. We also chatted about the sale of the Competitor brand to a private equity firm in 2008 and how that led to me leaving the company a year ago after 27 years of living, breathing, nurturing and growing the Competitor brand. I really hadn’t verbalized much of this since leaving the company, but it actually felt pretty good to talk about what it took to transition to the corporate world and then to walk away from it. Thanks Huddle!
