Jan Palchikoff is a two-time Olympic rower (1976 and 1980) and the Senior Vice President of Competition and Athlete Experience for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, which are coming to Los Angeles from July 25 to August 2. There will be 7,000 participants and 3,000 coaches from 170 countries arriving in LA and – no pressure here – Jan’s job is to make sure everyone has an awesome time. Come on out and support these amazing athletes. You can buy tickets for the opening ceremony, but every other event is free to attend.
