Judge Craig Mitchell was introduced to the Midnight Mission on Skid Row by a defendant who he had sent to jail. As a committed runner, it didn’t take long for Judge Mitchell to start a running program for the homeless. That program is the focal point of producer Gabi Hayes’ phenomenal new documentary Skid Row Marathon. The film will come out on October 14th in 650 theaters around the nation through Fathom Productions. We previewed the film at a Tri Club of San Diego meeting, and I loved every minute of it. Judge Mitchell joined me to chat about the film, the program, and his firm belief in second chances.
