Mirinda Carfrae is the three-time Ironman World Champion who, in her first six races on the Kona Coast between 2009 and 2014 had never been off the podium, finishing second, first, second, third, first, and first. In 2015 she was hit by a car on the Wednesday of race week and her injuries led to her dropping out during the bike ride on her way to Hawi.  She chatted with us from Australia where she is training hard so that come October she can win Ironman World Championship Title number four.
