Aussie Tim Van Berkel took an impressive 7th in his Kona debut and ran a 2:50 marathon. He was actually in 4th pace coming out of the Natural Energy Lab before having some cramping issues. With his main goal for 2015 being the Ironman World Championship, and with three really fast Iron-distance wins on his resume (8:07, 8:07 and 8:11), there’s no reason to believe that this young man with sub-2:50 potential in Kona can’t win the big one come October.
