Filmed on location at the  2015 ITU Hall of Fame Gala in Chicago: Simon Whitfield came on to chat about his Olympic gold and silver medals, plus the huge prize money race he won at Hyvee on a day he thought about dropping out during the bike ride.

Hamish Carter: Athens 2004

Filmed on location at the  2015 ITU Hall of Fame Gala in Chicago: Hamish Carter took home the gold medal in 2004 for New Zealand with his countryman Bevan Docherty taking home the silver. He used the disappointment of not medaling in 2000 to fuel his training for the next four years.

Emma Snowsill: Beijing 2008

Filmed on location at the  2015 ITU Hall of Fame Gala in Chicago: Emma Snowsill was pushing herself to the point of exhaustion leading into the 2008 Olympics until her swim coach pulled her out of the pool a few weeks before the games and forced her to back off. Being more rested than ever, she had a gold medal day in Beijing.

Nicola Spirig: London 2012

 

Nicola Spirig from Switzerland was born on February 7, 1982, one day after the classic race in Kona where Kathleen McCartney won the Ironman while Julie Moss crawled to the finish and immortality. Obviously destined to be a triathlete, Nicola started in the sport at the age of 10 and made her first Olympic Team in 2004 in Athens. In this wide-ranging interview we cover her three Olympic appearances, her sprint finish with Lisa Norden for the Gold in 2012 in London, her Ironman Cozumel win in 2015, and her long-time coaching relationship with Brett Sutton.

Gwen Jorgensen: Rio 2016
