Imagine being great at soccer, but having your eyesight deteriorate to the point where you could barely see the ball. Imagine making the high school swim team, but having your teammates take advantage of your disability by putting icy hot in your underwear. Imagine dealing with depression to the point of becoming suicidal. Then imagine becoming a world class endurance athlete and, despite having to find a really fast guide to be your eyes, running 1:16 for the half marathon, 2:44 for the marathon and going 1:57 for an Olympic distance triathlon and 4:09 for the Ironman 70.3. Aaron Scheidies is no doubt one of the world’s greatest endurance athletes.
